handing in the plans

Now we just wait patiently while the plans are being approved.

Where do we begin?

A short trip at twilight to our lot began the plotting of our footprint. With 100ft tape and plat map in hand, we played around with where our house will settle on the land. With limited space, we're taking great care to get the most out of every inch. We moved the house further back along the hill to allow for a large gardening space in the front yard. We'll landscape the hill slope behind us with shittake logs, understory medicinals, a japanese soaking tub and a dug in cold cellar.

We hope to submit our plans to the city for approval this week and wait patiently for the ground to thaw!
